As crucial components of the highway system, interchanges provide access to the local street system and other facilities. Many factors influence the selection of the appropriate type of freeway interchange. This workshop focuses on the selection process and the factors involved in determining which interchange design to use as well as the interchange selection procedure; also presented is a case study to apply lessons learned in the workshop.
